After working with student who experience Social, Emotional and Mental Health services Dean completed a Masters Degree in Teaching and Learning at Leicester University and founded Positive Behaviour Strategies Ltd. Dean is a Trainer Independent Researcher, Behaviour Consultant and Conference Speaker in the UK and abroad.​

In 2022 Dean founded Behaviour Smart Ltd.

Dean's talks cover a wide range of topics including:

Our training doesn't only relate to Behaviour Smart and recording incidents. We cover all aspects of managing distressed behaviour including understanding aggression, De-escalation techniques, environment aspects of behaviour, post incident learning (PIL), policy and documentation, Smart Plans.
